We should add css rules, that will round cms edit buttons (orange and green) in webkit based browsers (opera, google chrome, safari). For now only Firefox corner rounding works.

  1. sorry if my question is dumb, but is it more interesting to have
rounded corners instead of background images?

  2. Good to use CSS where it's possible.

  4. There are CSS round options without Images if I am not mistaken, or Alex
    wanted to use JQuery plugin?

  5. my question is: in how it'll be easier/lighter or more compatible to
use corner rounding tools better than putting an image which can we
exactly like we want at no extra processing time?

    2010/3/19 Dmitry Andrejev <dandre...@gmail.com>:

  6. For now all browsers except for Internet Explorer have native rounded
corners support, which is the best option to use for simple design
    corners like we have.

This way no need for extra javascript or images to round corners.

  7. well, using CSS to display a rounded image works very well too, here's
    my thought:

    - for initial design, this is not usefull, as the image will never
change, never ever: a rounded gif as background of an admin button
    will remain the same

    - for displaying product images, this could be veeeeeery cool, if
product images are displaying on front end with nice rounded corner

To resume, using this for static image won't bring anything new, using
them for product images will boost design in a unique style. As far as
i know, I have never seen elsewhere yet !

This is another way to use the same technology, I focus on customer
interest first... What do you think of this idea?

  8. Ok, I just was talking about usage in administrative console, not front-end.

  9. ok Alex, I hope you didn't took badly my previous post, but don't you
think it could be a nice feature for front-end?

    Dmitry, any opinion?

  10. Hi Phil,

I believe it's not efficient to spend time on current Advanced theme
now while everyone can do this for himself, plus we are looking to
have more themes from you Phil ;)

  11. Hi Dmitry,

I'm actually coding new themes for my customers, and these coding help
my understanding how the whole system is working now. As I told you
before, the perfect working state of advanced theme is very important,
as this is the only source for inportal tags, in situation. I had some
difficulties but I tried to solve all of them by myself, and based on
this difficulties I've also filled some dev. ideas to improve admin
    interface.

From my recent experiences, coding a theme from raw is more difficult
than modifying actual "advanced" theme, when you need to do a complex
website. It's still very easy to do a full custom CMS interface in few
hours from raw, and I'll show you the new ones, when they'll be
    finished.

About new themes from me, I can provide you some new and original
ones, I'll try to make my days lasting 30 hrs :-) More seriously, if
you have a nice and clean design you would like me to integrate as
theme, or anyone you can choose from templatemonster, just show me.

    Phil.

  12. Phil, thanks for your notes! We'd love to see new projects completed by you
    that are using In-Portal.

Back to original question - yes we should add support for Rounded Corder
    using CSS where possible.

All Front end changes are specific to the Themes and for now are not part of
    this discussion.
