The Site Domains feature allows for single In-Portal Installation to respond to different Domain usage differently. The common use case would be the Internet Shop, that:

  • is available from http://www.shop.com domain
  • has dedicated sub-domains (e.g. http://shoes.shop.com and http://hats.shop.com) for selling most popular product categories
  • website on each of sub-domains can have different look
  • purchases from main website and sub-domains still are stored in central database

Sometimes there might be a need to disable a particular site domain, but that's currently impossible. The only way to do that is to delete whole site domain, but recreating one again might be a complex process, that nobody wants to repeat without particular need.

Solution

Introduce "Status" field with "Enabled" and "Disabled" values to the Site Domains.
